The Tribe partnered with the City of San Fernando, and Parks & Recreation to advise the Heritage Park site in the City. The City re-dedicated the park after the passing of Tribal Leader Rudy Ortega Sr. in 2009.

Rudy Ortega Sr Park is 3.5 acre that contains a unique educational and cultural venue that reflect San Fernando’s rich history. Among these features are simulated Tataviam tribe village, a Japanese tea house, a Mission style plaza, a small amphitheatre and the restoration of a historic water tower. All are linked by a walking trail that winds through open spaces landscaped with drought tolerant plants and trees.
