Executive Branch
The Executive Branch of the FTBMI is the administrating body of the government responsible for upholding the FTBMI Constitution, Code and Ordinances.

Rudy is a descendant of the Simi, Santa Clarita, and San Fernando Valleys. With a strong passion in tribal affairs, Rudy began shadowing his father, the late Rudy Ortega Sr., since he was a child and was first elected as Vice President for the FTBMI at the age of eighteen. Through this role, he assisted in the continuing efforts of the Tribe’s mission of protecting the rights of Fernandeño Tataviam as Native American people. Rudy assisted his Tribe in the reinvigoration of the Tribe’s non-profit, Pukúu Cultural Community Services (Pukúu) in 2004 to provide community programs to Native Americans living in the Los Angeles County as well as to sustain the Fernandeño Tataviam community.

Mark VillaseñorVice President
Mark is a descendant of the Simi, Santa Clarita, and San Fernando Valleys. As an active and determined member of his community both culturally and politically, Mark collaborates with Federal, State and Local municipalities, and Tribal nations in an effort to uplift the FTBMI. Engaging in civic activity and responsibility, Mark has been active in local City and County sponsored initiatives.

Lucia AlfaroSecretary
Lucia Alfaro serves as the Secretary of the FTBMI. She is a descendant of the Santa Clarita, San Fernando, and Antelope valleys. Her passions include protecting and preserving FTBMI homelands through her seat on the Tataviam Land Conservancy as well as uplifting the community with cultural hikes and gatherings. She has been employed with the State of California for over 20 years.

Elisa OrnelasTreasurer
Elisa Ornelas serves as the Treasurer of the FTBMI. She is a descendant of the Simi, Santa Clarita, and San Fernando Valleys. Elisa has been active in FTBMI politics and social organization since she was a small child. As the elected Treasurer of the FTBMI, Elisa is committed to the fiscal health of her Tribal Nation. She previously served as the Financial Officer for Pukúu Cultural Community Services.
