On Friday, February 21, 2020, the Tribe provided a blessing for the opening of the Hidden Creeks Park in the Chatsworth Hills. The 257-acre park is located above the 118 freeway at DeSoto Avenue, on lands traditionally called sesevenga. This newly established park area is located on the land that was planned for development through the “Hidden Creeks Estates” Project.

Speakers included Joseph T. Edmiston (Executive Director, Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy), Tribal President Rudy Ortega, Irma Munoz (Chair, Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy), John Donnelly (Executive Director, California Wildlife Conservation Board), Supervisor Kathryn Barger 5-D, and California State Senator Henry Stern 27-D.
