This contract and the terms and conditions herein are between the Friends of Hart Park, County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, the Fernandeño Band of Mission Indians, and the Exhibitor.
EVENT DATES: Saturday, October 4th 11:00 am – 6:00 pm & Sunday, October 5th, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Set up: Friday, October 3rd between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm
- Set up time is firm.
- No autos allowed in Pow Wow area after 8am on Saturday for any reason.
All cars must be out of the park interior by 8:30am on Saturday.
- If you have not reserved your space and paid in advance by September 25th, you will not be allowed to set up.
Take Down: Sunday, October 5th at 5:30 pm
(Any items not meeting with the Committees’ approval may be removed at the Committees’ discretion).
No sales of Cedar, Sage, or Sweetgrass.

THE COUNTY reserves the right to cancel this event at any time the Department Director or designate feels such action is in the public interest. In the event there is a rescheduling or even if there is no rescheduling of the event and cancellation occurs seven or more calendar days prior to the scheduled date of the event, the County, Friends of Hart Park, nor the Fernandeno Tataviam Band of Mission Indians will not be liable for any damages whatsoever. In no event will the County, Friends of Hart Park or the Fernandeno Tataviam Band of Mission Indians be liable for indirect, special or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits.
Limited Security will be provided from 8PM Friday to 5PM Sunday, however, the Committee does not assume responsibility for the property of the Exhibitor nor shall the committee be held liable in the event of fire, breakage, vandalism, theft, acts of God, or any other type of damages to the Exhibitors' person or property.
The Exhibitor or agent shall staff their booth at all times during the show hours. Exhibitor will be OPEN during the hours stated above; failure to be open during these hours will result in the forfeiture of the Exhibitor's rights. The Exhibitor agrees not to sublet their booth.
The Exhibitor agrees to set up and take down during the hours stated above. Exhibitors who do not set up or take down during set hours will forfeit all monies on deposit and the booth space. Each Exhibitor is operating their assigned booth as a private business and will be responsible for collection and payment of all appropriate permits and sales tax.
Exhibitor will use ORIGINALITY with their booth design. The Event host requires you to be in compliance with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 (P.L. 101-644), which prohibits misrepresentation in marketing of Indian Arts and Crafts products within the United States.
All canopy covers will have to be fire retardant. Per Article 1, section 105 of the Los Angeles County Fire Code: “…….The sidewalls, drops and tops of all tents ….shall be of flame-retardant material.” It is against the law to use plastic bags in the Los Angeles County Parks and there is no smoking allowed in the park.
