The Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission indians is partnering up with the City of San Fernando to host the first ever Indigenous Peoples Day in San Fernando!

Mark your calendars! Indigenous Peoples Day will take place this year on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the City of San Fernando Recreation and Community Services Park (see map below) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. This event will celebrate all indigenous peoples of both north and south America and will include marvelous indigenous foods, information, entertainment, arts & crafts, and overall good company!

We welcome all peoples and families to join us for this special gathering!

In October of 2015, the City of San Fernando passed a resolution to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples Day. Read more here
