Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell’s motion seeks to outline the cultural and historic importance of creating and supporting a City Holiday to celebrate the native peoples of the City and County of Los Angeles. It is fitting that the City of Los Angeles honor the historic contributions of indigenous, aboriginal and native peoples by establishing the Indigenous Peoples Day as a legal City holiday.

There are two important meetings, please save the dates if you can attend both! If you are only able to attend one date, we strongly encourage you to attend the November 4th meeting, when the motion will be presented to City Council.
